Vintage Sealer is a clear, water based primer sealer. Its effective as a stain blocker on ink, nicotine and tannin bleed. Tannin bleed is common with redwood furniture such has mahogany, cedar and kauri, or in the knots of pine. It is also used as a bond coat for formica, laminate and metal. 

Because Vintage Sealer  goes on clear, it can be used for distressed finishes without white showing through the layers.
